Kayaking is a booming sport and one of the most sought after activities by adventurous individuals especially during summer. Kayaking offers more thrill and excitement to kayakers who may be a single individual or a tandem. It allows adventurers to stay longer in particular rapids or location; it also allows kayak users to paddle upstream. Kayaking is an activity that helps develop confidence in an individual.

But what is a kayak? A kayak is a boat with a covered deck and a small hole which allows an individual to sit in. The legs of the kayaker are concealed, warm and dry inside this boat. The kayak was originally built and designed for use in the Arctic where cold water spills could be potentially fatal for kayak users. These boats are propelled using double bladed oars. The front portion of the kayak is known as the bow; the bilge pump is the hand pump used to eliminate large amounts of water. The upright separation inside the kayak is called the bulkhead and serves two purposes: to reinforce the hull and aid flotation. The edge part of the kayak is called the chine.

The term kayaking refers to the recreational sport that makes use of kayaks. This activity may be done in the ocean, as well as in rivers, surf zones and along whitewater courses. These locations allow thrilling experience for kayakers. Kayaking may also be done on lakes where waters are relatively calm and kayaks are more likely to easy to be managed.

Paintball is a war-game that originated in 1981. It is a sport in which players try to eliminate opponents by hitting them with pellets containing paint and referred to as paintball. Paintballs are usually shot from either CO2 or compressed-gas (HPA or Nitrogen)-powered paintball gun or marker. Anyone that gets hit by a paintball is automatically out of the game.

Paintball may be played either indoors or outdoors. The game may also be played in different ways. One paintball version is that game in which each teams has its own flag. In this case, the teams have to capture the opponent’s flag in order to win. Another version of paintball uses only one flag positioned at the center of the field. In this version, each team has to work hard to capture the flag in order to win. The team may also be declared a winner once it has eliminated all members of the rival team.

Paintball is an exciting game that requires two basic pieces of equipment: the mask and the complete paintball marker.

The experience of summer can never be complete without a trip to the beach or an adventure hike. For the youth and the young at heart, the summer season is an opportunity to explore new places and engage in refreshing activities; an example of which is windsurfing. Windsurfing is a contemporary sport that has gained popularity among many individuals lately.

A surf board is used for windsurfing. When a sail is attached to it, a person will be able to catch the wind and gain speed. That is basically the principle of the sport. While it is widely known that windsurfing is an ocean sport, the activity can also be performed on lakes; provided that the right amount of wind velocity is available to propel the surfer forward.

Windsurfing relies heavily on the wind and its speed. The wind powers up the sail and enhances windsurfing experience. Very strong winds, however, are considered dangerous and these are what surfers should avoid. Strong winds make it difficult for windsurfers to handle the board and stay balanced. It will affect his or her ability to hit flights of waves at a high rate of speed, and may eventually cause his or her demise once gone out of control.

Experienced and professionals windsurfers prefer doing the sport when the winds are strong and the waves are big. These conditions will allow them to maximize speed and increase their level of adrenaline. Strong winds and big waves also allow experienced surfers to propel themselves to greater heights and enjoy the thrill of high flying actions.
